this sculpture hits the sweet spot.
One of the Rod & Broadsheet series, this sculpture plays with surfaces and their interruptions.
Its intriguing curvilinear design in stainless steel with a dark patina is accentuated
by the wedges of bronze spiking out of the top of the piece.
When Ulrich finished this piece, he was feeling humorous and deviously political.
With a twinkle in his eye, he announced its name: Wedge Issue.
