May 18th to the 23rd in Venice: preparing for the Grand Opening of Ulrich's exhibit at Palazzo Mora as part of the Venice Achitecture Biennale
On Exhibit March 25th to November 26th 2018 Venice, Italy
The following images give you a sneak peek at the eight sculpture-maquettes and two full-size sculptures to be shown at the Venice Biennale exhibit in the European Cultural Centre. Each sculptures-maquette that was selected and built is accompanied by images of the actual installed monumental public art works initiated by these pedestal sculptures.
Ulrich Pakker is honored to have been invited to exhibit during the prestigious 2018 Venice Architecture Biennale. His work will be shown at the collateral art event housed in the European Cultural Centre in Palazzo Mora and in conjunction with the GAA Foundation. Ulrich will be exhibiting primarily sculptures-maquettes from the many public art commission processes he has been a part of over the last 20 years. Many of these sculpture-maquettes served their purpose well. Ulrich won the commissions and went on to build public art installations up to 25' (8 m) high all over North America. In addition to these sculpture-maquettes, there will also be 3 video screens showing (1) the Drunken Lotus Fountain, (2) the complete fabrication process of Breaking Earth's Bond, a sculpture installation for which Ulrich was awarded the UNESCO US Commissioner's Award, and (3) his complete portfolio.
